Want to know where food comes from?

If so, you are not alone, according to a recent Zogby poll. Just about everyone responding to the poll not only would like country of origin labeling, but believes American have a right to know where food comes from. Do you agree? Write your congressional representatives!

  1. So many people want to know where there food is coming from, I think this is much of the reason for the success of the farmers markets.
    Just by seeing produce in the store or knowing what is in the (processed) food isn’t enough. Whether it to be an environmentally friendly reason perhaps to eat more locally (when a bottle of water is needed, shipping one in from Iceland may not be the best choice) or to avoid food from countries that use the most dangerous pesticides or seem to be careless with food and other exports (think China).
    For these reasons and others it is essential we know where our food comes from.
